October is National Financial Planning Month, and the Warren-Newport Public Library (WNPL) is highlighting the financial resources available to its cardholders. The library encourages community members to use their WNPL card to access a variety of materials and tools designed to help with budgeting, investing, retirement planning, and debt management.

Library patrons can borrow books such as "500 Great Ways to Save for Dummies" by AARP, "Buy What You Love Without Going Broke" by Jen Smith, "Crush Your Money Goals" by Bernadette Joy, "Money for Adulting" by Michelle Hung, "Rich Girl Nation" by Katie Gatti Tassin, and "The Ultimate Retirement Guide for 50+" by Suze Orman.

In addition to books, WNPL cardholders have free access to digital magazines through the Libby app. Titles include Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Inc. Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and SUCCESS Magazine. More information about library apps can be found at https://www.wnpl.info/library-apps/.

The library also provides access to online learning platforms. Gale Courses offers six-week instructor-led classes, including those focused on financial planning. LinkedIn Learning, formerly known as Lynda.com, features over 17,000 video tutorials on various topics, including financial planning. Udemy provides more than 25,000 online video courses for personal and professional development, covering financial planning as well. These resources are available for free to WNPL cardholders at www.wnpl.info/all-databases.

According to the library, "This fall, discover how your WNPL card truly offers endless possibilities for building the financial future you deserve."
