Mundelein Park & Recreation District is asking community members, Diamond Lake users, and residents to participate in a survey focused on the waters of Diamond Lake. The survey was developed by ILM Environments, a lake and natural areas consultant, with support from a Lake County Stormwater Management grant. Its purpose is to gather feedback that will contribute to creating a comprehensive water management plan for Diamond Lake.

The information collected will help set goals, objectives, and initiatives for the long-term care of the lake. Additionally, results from the survey will be included in the final Diamond Lake Master Plan, which will guide future management decisions regarding the lake.

Community members have until November 8, 2025, to complete the survey. The District stated: "The District remains committed to promoting a safe, healthy, and enjoyable Diamond Lake experience for all community members. Thank you for your time and feedback. Your participation is vital to the future of Diamond Lake."
