A public hearing regarding a proposed property tax levy increase for the Mundelein Park & Recreation District is scheduled for November 24, 2025, at 6:45 pm. The meeting will take place at the Dolan Recreation Center, located at 888 Dunbar Road in Mundelein, Illinois.

According to district figures, corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 amounted to $5,395,949. For the upcoming year, the proposed levy for these taxes is $5,678,600—a 5.24% increase compared to last year.

In addition to operational levies, property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases were $712,520 in 2024. The estimated amount to be levied for these purposes in 2025 is $725,913—an increase of 1.88%.

Overall, total property taxes extended or abated for all purposes in 2024 were $6,108,469. The estimated total property taxes to be levied in 2025 are $6,404,513. This reflects an overall increase of 4.85% from the previous year.
