The Grayslake Historical Society (GHS) will host a holiday open house this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The open house will feature a performance from the the Warren Township High School Alumni Choir at 2 p.m., followed by a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The special guests will be available for photos with an antique sleigh from the GHS collection. Refreshments and children's craft activities will also be provided.
The Grayslake Historical Society was founded in 1976 to preserve the village's pioneer history. The society coordinates the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, a public museum with ongoing exhibits, event space, and other resources that engage residents and visitors with the history of Grayslake.
The museum opened in 2010 inside the village's original Village Hall.
