The Highwood Appearance Review Committee held its regular meeting Nov. 10.
The committee approved a sign for 210 that includes a variance to allow a listing of the business' goods for sale.
The committee issued a similar variance for the nail salon Bella Mani on Sheridan Road along with a variance permitting an illuminated box sign on the grounds that it was "innovative and/or creative."
Barrel Crossing was on the agenda to discuss its awnings, but no representatives from the business came to the meeting. The committee recommended the business remove the awnings in question until the committee and the City Council can review them further.
