MacGillis Drive Bridge set for reconstruction

The Village of Round Lake Board of Trustees approved the reconstruction of the MacGillis Drive Bridge among other items during its Nov. 16 meeting.

Lorig Construction Company will complete the repairs to the MacGillis Drive Bridge over Squaw Creek for $1,121,688.30, per the approved agreement. The resolution passed unanimously.

The board also approved emergency repairs to truck No. 45. A-Tire County Service will make the repairs at an estimated cost of $8,436.70. This resolution also passed unanimously.

Multiple items on the consent agenda were also approved by the board. Accounts payable and payroll for Nov. 1 were both approved as well as resolutions adopting a $3,668,463 tax levy, continued software support from Harris/MSI, a contract with Steiner Power Systems for generator preventative maintenance and the purchase of five squad car mobile data terminals in an amount no more than $13,700 from M Rugged Mobile Technology.

Members of the board are Mayor Daniel A. MacGillis, Village Clerk Patricia C. Blauvelt and trustees Charlie Foy, Henry Frye Jr., Russell Kraly, Don Newby, Sergio Rodriguez and Susan Triphahn.
