Discussing omnibus and zoning approval, the Village of Round Lake gathered for its last 2015 regular meeting with Village President Dan MacGillis calling the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Dec. 7.

Following approval of the Nov. 16, 2015, minutes, the floor opened for notes, commendations and/or public comments; there were no public comments at this time.

The Consent Agenda comprised a motion to carry out omnibus approval of seven items -- all of which were passed unanimously by the five trustees in attendance and carried by Mayor MacGillis.

Omnibus approval was executed for accounts payable, two payroll periods, three proposals for various bonds and insurance items and acceptance of a pavement management report.

The Clerk’s Office approved the 2016 board and COTW meeting dates. Holiday closings were covered, and the holiday decoration contest was cancelled due to lack of participation.

Clerk Patricia Blauvelt recognized Alice Lohman on her 15th anniversary with the Village police department in the records division.

Administrator and Finance reports were offered.

Omnibus approval was carried out for 10 additional items, regarding tax levies and special service area taxes for Lakewood Grove and Bright Meadow.

Police, Public Works, Community Development and Special Events reports were presented.

Four building and zoning business matters carried, concerning tow truck service, catering and a liquor license for a caterer, while a fifth motion for a liquor license to a casino failed to pass.

The mayor’s comments included appreciation for Tree Lighting event participation and a mention that the Dec. 21 meeting was canceled.

Trustees’ comments echoed the mayor’s sentiments regarding the Tree Lighting along with a Municipal League dinner and an extension of holiday wishes.

There was no Executive Session at the meeting. Following additional business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
