Lake County Liquor Control Commission cites BBQ joint for disturbances

Nardos incident

To handle local disturbances and address specific instances of disorderly behavior, the Lake County Liquor Control Commission met 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Lake County Administrative Complex.

At the meeting, held in Conference Room C on the center’s 10th floor, the commission heard a case involving Rita Usher, dba Nardo's Barbeque Restaurant Bar and Grill, regarding violations to the Lake County Liquor Control Ordinance dated August 16, 2015, and December 25, 2015.

Nardo’s August 2015 violation concerned permitting an act of battery and a disturbance, while the December 2015 offenses included a second battery along with disorderly conduct, serving alcohol to an intoxicated individual and selling alcohol to a minor.

Additionally, the December violation cited the establishment for remaining open to the public during restricted hours and permitting the possession and/or discharge of a firearm. No additional cases were listed on the agenda.
