Property hazards, plumbing and preparation occupied the Lake County Planning, Building and Zoning Committee at its 9:00 a.m. Dec. 1, 2015, meeting at the Courthouse and Administrative Complex.
Minutes from the Nov. 3, 2015, meeting were approved. In new business, two joint resolutions regarding demolition of hazardous structures were carried. A joint resolution to amend an agreement with the village of Fox Lake for plumbing inspection services was approved.
County Administrator Amy McEwan announced an upcoming presentation at the F&A Committee on setting priorities for Lake County’s sustainability plans for the next five years.
In addition, Building and Development Department Director Eric Waggoner revealed that although a complaint was received by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, regarding lowered funding at the Midlothian Manor property after a ZBA decision, Lake County stated that the allegation is unfounded.
