Widely promoting its web-based information center, Highland Park recently announced two new websites designed to guide residents to landmarks, event venues and municipal projects that promote enhanced public awareness of civic activity.
“Communication is vital in any society,” City Manager Ghida Neukirch said. “To ensure that the city communicates effectively and consistently, new website developments are being frequently updated by city staff. The Internet is one of the most resourceful ways to keep information flowing accurately and responsively.”
Classified respectively as “event space” and “development projects map,” Highland Park’s pair of online portals strive to inform the public with innovative mapping functions.
Event Space allows individuals and organizations to assess the availability of the community’s various venues for booking private events, complete with contact information and pertinent details. Visitors and residents, alike, can check http://tiny.cc/eventspace for their organizational needs.
The Development Projects Map endeavors to provide up-to-date information on the city’s ongoing development projects, including entitlement-related requests and data on public hearings and approvals at http://tiny.cc/developmentprojects. The site is updated continuously and will allow the community to learn about new projects early on in their development.
By visiting these online resources, Highland Park constituents may just be able to save a trip to City Hall and accomplish their goals more efficiently.
