The City of Highland Park recently unveiled updated electronic communications capabilities for the jurisdiction and encouraged residents to take advantage of new cyber services to keep abreast of the latest civic news.
“Highland Park encourages approachable and efficient communication,” City Manager Ghida Neukirch said.
The city has reconfigured its website to enable instant access to an expanded list of notification categories. While certain topics already sported a prominent “Notify Me” button, the government has now made that option available for every single one of Highland Park’s boards and commissions, of which there are currently 17 total.
Citizens can enroll for instant e-notifications for City E-news, emergency voice notification, public safety alerts and business development newsletters by going to www.cityhpil.com/signup.
Sign-up is simple and straightforward. Highland Park residents are instructed to visit www.cityhpil.com/notifyme; click on the board(s) and/or commission(s) they wish to receive notifications for and accept an email confirming approval for subscription to notifications. Once these steps have been completed, individuals will begin to receive notifications from his or her selected boards and commissions.
Neukirch encourages citizens to direct any questions, remarks or concerns that they may have to her office at 847-926-1000 or by emailing cityhp@cityhpil.com.
