Lake Forest podcast co-host on new fields: community involvement ‘should have been done prior’

Skoo Walker, founding and recurring co-host of the Lake Forest Podcast, said community involvement and city promises tied to the field included revenue from tournaments, but after nearly two years with "no progress," the council is only now saying, "we're going to look into it," which he argued "should have been done prior."

"Is the community involvement in all the meetings ever done prior to this field being done?" Walker told Joe Weiss on the Lake Forest podcast. "All the promises from the city to the council to the mayor at the time, everyone, that it was agreed in order to build this thing, there were caveats that it had. One of those was revenue generation, whether it's a lot or not, and it's tournaments. Tournaments were talked about all the time.”

“To have almost two years and there's no progress, and now the council goes, ‘Well, we're going to look into it,’" said Walker. “You're not looking into it. This should have been done prior.”
