The Antioch Board of Trustees heard a presentation from special guest state Sen. Melinda Bush (D-Dist 31) at a recent meeting.
Bush talked about the status of the state budget impasse, the issues involved and the effects on local communities. She admitted that lawmakers were not close to any breakthroughs in settling the crisis.
The board also approved a liquor licenses for the Antioch Lions Club's July Fourth party and its upcoming chicken barbecue event.
The board also approved the 2016 Tag Day schedule.
