Lake Forest commission to consider alteration, demolition requests

The Lake Forest Historic Preservation Commission will consider requests for alterations and additions to 1220 Elm Tree Road and the demolition of 361 E. Westminster at a special meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday in City Hall Council Chambers, 220 E. Deerpath.

The commission's mission is to preserve historical buildings, gardens and streetscapes, and thus the character of the community. The commission reviews projects within the city's Historic Districts and projects that affect landmark properties throughout the city. The commission reviews proposals for demolitions and new constructions, as well as variance requests.
