The College of Lake County cross-country teams got the 2016 season underway by competing in the Tom Hoffman Invitational on Sept. 17, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The Lancers men's team finished ninth out of 12 teams, while the women's team was 11th in its division, UWOshkoshTitans.com reported.
Danny Vincent was the top finisher for the men's team, crossing the finish line in 29 minutes, 20.1 seconds to place 42nd. Andrew Rodriguez was 51st with a time of 30:42.2, Thomas Castino was 53rd in 30:52.5, Jeffrey Meverden was 54th in 31:11.6, Arthur Garcia was 56th in 32:01.3, Vidal Ortega was 58th in 32:14.4, and Tyler Glassman was 59th in 32:29.7.
For the CLC women's team, Allyssa Weitkum was 40th in 27:27.4, Paloma Alcala was 56th in 29:01.9, Lluvia Chavarria was 69th in 30:50.1, Yoselin Gonzalez was 75th in 31:50.1, Vanesa Guerrero was 80th in 34:43.2, and Yasmin Bueno was 81st in 35:44.7.
Wisconsin-La Crosse won the men's and women's division.
