Round Lake Beach ranked 513th in state in lottery ticket sales for April 2016

The Village of Round Lake Beach had the 513th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of April 2016 -- up 20 spots from its March ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Round Lake Beach was $15.78 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Lake County Gazette, Round Lake Beach generated $439,374.50 in net sales from its 15 lottery retailers in April 2016, compared to $424,794.50 in April 2015.

The Village of Round Lake Beach is in Lake County, and has a population of 27,852, according to 2010 census data. Neighboring municipalities are Grayslake, Round Lake, Hainesville, Third Lake, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Park, Lake Villa, Long Lake and Venetian Village.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in April 2016 was $27,963.60.

Round Lake Beach's top lottery retailer is Fairfield Quick Shop located at 1015 N Fairfield Rd, Round Lake Beach, IL 60073.

Fairfield Quick Shop generated 14 percent of Round Lake Beach's April 2016 lottery ticket sales and 1 percent of Lake County's sales that month, which was $10,234,678.50.

A close look at sales by city shows that the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita in Lake County in 2015 were Wadsworth, Hainesville, Lake Villa, Antioch and Fox Lake.

Statewide, the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita were Forest View, Burnt Prairie, McCook, Mapleton and Merrionette Park.

The top five cities in the state generated $5,496,719 in net sales -- 1 percent of the state's 2015 net sales amounting to $2,793,271,709.50.
