Village of Volo Board of Trustees met March 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Volo was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Volo Village Hall, Mayor Stephen Henley presiding.

Roll Call: Trustees Porter, Buschick, Heuser– present; Wagner, Johnson, Buttita - absent. Village Clerk Rydberg – present.

Also present were various staff members.

Public Comment – Agenda Items: None.

Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting of March 7, 2017

Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 7, 2017. On voice vote – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

Approval: Accounts Payable – March 21, 2017

Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Buschick, to authorize payment of the bills as listed in the Treasurer’s Report for March 21, 2017. Roll Call: Trustees Porter, Buschick, Heuser; Mayor Henley – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

Ordinance No. O-17-05: Requiring the Licensing of Solid Waste Haulers

Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser, to approve Ordinance No. O-17-05, requiring solid waste haulers operating within the Village to obtain a license. Roll Call: Trustees Buschick, Heuser, Porter; Mayor Henley – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

Ordinance No. O-17-06: Commercial Solid Waste Hauling and Recycling Program

Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser, to approve Ordinance No. O-17-06, requiring waste haulers to offer recycling services to businesses and initiating a 36-month study to determine the recycling participation rate for businesses in the Village. Roll Call: Trustees Heuser, Porter, Buschick; Mayor Henley – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

Approval: Extension Request (Calatlantic Homes)

Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Buschick, to approve the extension of the deadline by which CalAtlantic Homes must satisfy certain conditions related to its zoning and subdivision approvals for Remington Pointe North. Roll Call: Trustees Heuser, Porter, Buschick; Mayor Henley – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

Mayor’s Report: None.

Adjournment

There being no further business, Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser, to adjourn the meeting. On voice vote – all “aye”. Motion Carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:13 p.m.
