The calls in Countryside included 101 fires - 68 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 27 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $374,350 in fire loss - or about $3,706 per fire.
The department also received 729 false calls, including four malicious calls and 725 other false calls.
Three fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Countryside FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 32 active employees and 22 retired or inactive employees, was $1,580,228 in debt as of May 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $15,646 for every fire in 2016.
