Report: Antioch spent $10,549 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,782 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,549 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3101 to 2932.

Antioch's spending in 2016-17 was 19 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
