Report: Mundelein spent $11,498 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Mundelein Elementary School District 75 is up 21 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,477 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,498 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1716 to 1667.

Mundelein's spending in 2016-17 was 11 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
