Report: Lake Bluff spent $18,354 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lake Bluff Elementary School District 65 is up 9 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $16,774 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,354 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 870 to 908.

Lake Bluff's spending in 2016-17 was 41 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
