Report: Lake Forest spent $24,392 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Lake Forest Community High School District 115 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $21,977 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $24,392 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1686 to 1676.

Lake Forest's spending in 2016-17 was 88 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
