Report: Warren spent $14,486 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Warren Township High School District 121 is up 31 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $11,080 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $14,486 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4373 to 4191.

Warren's spending in 2016-17 was 12 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
