The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Volo was called to order at
7:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Volo Village Hall, Mayor Stephen Henley presiding.
Roll Call: Trustees Porter, Johnson, Heuser, Buttita, Northam – present; Trustee Wagner – absent.
Village Clerk Rydberg – present.
Also present were various staff members.
Public Comment – Agenda Items: None.
Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting of April 24, 2018
Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Johnson, to approve the Minutes of the Regular
Meeting of April 24, 2018. On voice vote – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
Approval: Accounts Payable – May 1, 2018
Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Johnson, to authorize payment of the bills
as listed in the Treasurer’s Report for May 1, 2018. Roll Call: Trustees Porter, Johnson, Heuser,
Buttita, Northam – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
Resolution No. R-18-236: Appropriating Funds for the Improvement of
Volo Village Road from US Highway 12 to Il Route 120
Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Johnson, to approve Resolution No. R-18-236,
appropriating $53,759 for the Village’s share (20%) of the $268,793 project cost. Roll Call:
Trustees Johnson, Heuser, Buttita, Northam, Porter – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
Authorization to Execute: Police Services Contract
Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser, to authorize execution of a three-year
contract extension with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for police services. Roll Call: Trustees
Heuser, Buttita, Northam, Porter, Johnson – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
Authorization to Execute: Water System Operations Contract
Trustee Northam made a motion, seconded by Trustee Porter, to authorize execution of a two-year
contract extension with Robinson Engineering for water system operations. Roll Call: Trustees
Buttita, Northam, Porter, Johnson, Heuser – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
Waiver of Bids / Authorization to Execute: Well #5 Electric Repair
Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Buttita, to waive the formal bid process and
authorize execution of a contract with Water Well Solutions for electric repairs to Well #5. Roll
Call: Trustees Northam, Porter, Johnson, Heuser, Buttita – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.

Mayor’s Report: None.
Adjournment
There being no further business, Trustee Porter made a motion, seconded by Trustee Heuser,
to adjourn the meeting. On voice vote – all “aye”. MOTION CARRIED.
