Park District of Highland Park issued the following announcement on June 27.

ue to heavy rains over the past day, the following areas are flooded:

Hidden Creek AquaPark:  the east end of the parking lot is underwater.

Highland Park Country Club:  portions of the paths are flooded.

Sleepy Hollow Park: the Jent Street entrance to the park is closed due to flooding. 

Larry Fink Memorial Park:  path area between the creek and soccer fields, path area north of the pond, and soccer fields are flooded. 

Please remember, standing water can be hazardous to your health and safety, please avoid these areas until the water recedes and our crews can access any damage or hazards. For more information on the health risks of standing water, go to www.cdc.gov
