The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Volo was called to order at 7:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Volo Village Hall, Mayor Stephen Henley presiding.
Roll Call: Trustees Wagner, Johnson, Buttita, Northam - present; Trustees Porter, Heuser - absent.
Village Clerk Rydberg - present.
Also present were various staff members.
Public Comment – Agenda Items: None.
Approval Of Minutes: Regular Meeting Of May 15, 2018
Trustee Wagner made a motion, seconded by Trustee Johnson, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 15, 2018. On voice vote – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
Approval: Accounts Payable – June 5, 2018
Trustee Wagner made a motion, seconded by Trustee Northam, to authorize payment of the bills as listed in the Treasurer’s Report for June 5, 2018. Roll Call: Trustees Wagner, Johnson, Buttita, Northam – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
Acceptance Of Bids / Authorization To Execute: Pavement Marking
(Superior Road Striping)
Trustee Northam made a motion, seconded by Trustee Buttita, to accept the bids and authorize execution of a contract for pavement marking with Superior Road Striping. Roll Call: Trustees Johnson, Buttita, Northam, Wagner – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
Waiver Of Bids / Authorization To Execute: Public Works Garage Door Replacement
Trustee Northam made a motion, seconded by Trustee Wagner, to waive the formal bid process, accept proposals, and authorize execution of a contract for replacement of the garage doors at Public Works with Overhead Door. Roll Call: Trustees Buttita, Northam, Wagner, Johnson – all “aye”. Motion Carried.
Executive Session: Land Acquistion (5 ILCS 120/2(C)(5))
Trustee Wagner made a motion, seconded by Trustee Northam, to adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5) and to have the Village Administrator and Director of Operations present for the meeting. Roll Call: Trustees Northam, Wagner, Johnson, Buttita – all “aye”.
Motion Carried.
The meeting reconvened into open session at 7:30 P.M. Roll Call: Trustees Wagner, Johnson, Buttita, Northam – present.
Public Comment: None.
Trustee Reports: Trustee Wagner reported on the EDC’s activities at RECon.
Mayor’s Report: None.
