Nature of Appeal: The petitioner, Bonnie Barsky, of 1626 Ravine Terrace, Highland Park, Illinois 60035, on-behalf-of the ownership Bonnie Barsky, as trustee of the Bonnie Barsky Revocable Trust dated January 20, 2012, of the same address, request by authority of Sections 150.1204(A)(1) of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703 and Section 150.707(D)(1), as required under the R4 zoning district, to (i) encroach 11.1 feet into the required side yard of 12 feet on the east side of the property, and (ii) to allow an accessory structure within a required side yard on the east side of the property, in order build a new garage, attached to an existing single family home.

Nature of Appeal: The petitioners and property owners, Brian A Bortman and Lucy K Bortman, of 2660 Roslyn Lane, Highland Park, Illinois 60035, request by authority of Sections 150.1204(A)(4) of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703.3(A), as required under the R6 zoning district, to (i) exceed the maximum allowed floor area of 3,592 square feet (FAR of 33.15%) to a proposed 4,295 square feet (FAR of 39.64%), in order to construct additions to an existing single family home.

Miller, of 1501 Ridge Road, Highland Park, Illinoi 60035, requests by authority of Section 150.1204(A)(1) and Section 150.1204(A)(4) of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703, Section 150.707(D)(1), and Section 150.703.3(A), as required under the R5A zoning district, to (i) encroach 2.6 feet into the required side yard of six (6) feet on the east side of the property, (ii) to allow an accessory structure within a required side yard, and (iii) to exceed the allowed floor area of 3,662 square feet (FAR of 31.92%) to a proposed floor area of 3,977.71 square feet (FAR of 34.67%), in order to construct a new garage and a new attached carport (also known as a porte- cochere), on a property with an existing single family home.

Nature of Appeal: The petitioners and property owners, Richard A. Dsida and Shannon Dsida, of 1357 Green Bay Road, Highland Park, IL 60035, request by authority of Section 150.1204(A)(14) of the Highland Park Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.707(B)(1), as required under the R6 zoning district, to (i) encroach 25 feet into the subdivision setback/building line of 25 feet on the west side of the property, and (ii) to encroach 17 feet into the subdivision setback/building line of 20 feet on the east side of the property, in order to construct a new fence located on a property with an existing single family residence.
