Governor race: Republican Rauner wins voter tally in Benton Township Precinct 53

Bruce Rauner led Democrat JB Pritzker in votes cast in Benton Township Precinct 53 for the gubernatorial race, according to the latest vote count.

Rauner appeared to outpace Pritzker by a margin of 24 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Bruce Rauner, won by a margin of 39.8 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Pat Quinn, who received 147 votes to Rauner's 357.
