State House race: Republican Jesiel wins voter tally in Lake Villa Township Precinct 153

Sheri Jesiel led Democrat Joyce Mason in votes cast in Lake Villa Township Precinct 153 for the District 61 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Jesiel appeared to outpace Mason by a margin of 1.9 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Sheri Jesiel, won by a margin of 35.9 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Loren Karner, who received 160 votes to Jesiel's 339.
