State House race: Democrat Mason wins voter tally in Lake Villa Township Precinct 158

Joyce Mason led Republican Sheri Jesiel in votes cast in Lake Villa Township Precinct 158 for the District 61 state House race, according to the latest vote count.

Mason appeared to outpace Jesiel by a margin of 8.6 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Republican Sheri Jesiel, won by a margin of 5.5 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Democrat Loren Karner, who received 248 votes to Jesiel's 277.
