State Senate race: Democrat Morrison wins voter tally in Vernon Township Precinct 282

Julie A. Morrison led Republican Soojae Lee in votes cast in Vernon Township Precinct 282 for the District 30 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.

Morrison appeared to outpace Lee by a margin of 35.2 percent on Tuesday in the precinct.

In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Terry Link, won by a margin of 28.7 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Don Wilson, who received 144 votes to Link's 260.
