Terry Link led Republican Soojae Lee in votes cast in Waukegan Township for the District 30 state Senate race, according to the latest vote count.
Link appeared to outpace Lee by a margin of 56.8 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Terry Link, won by a margin of 42.6 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Don Wilson, who received 3,776 votes to Link's 9,385.
