Report: Grayslake spent $19,099 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Grayslake Community High School District 127 is up 30.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $14,645 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,099 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 3012 to 2902.

Grayslake's spending in 2017-18 was 43.2 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
