The Patty Turner Center in Deerfield is set to host a 90-minute “gun control” and “gun violence” gathering tomorrow, and the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) officials is urging its members to attend.
“Some of the biggest threats to your gun rights, your freedom, and the safety of your family will be gathered together in one room on the evening of Thursday, February 21st,” ISRA officials noted in a bulletin sent to members that revealed that legislators the organization has branded as anti-gun zealots—including U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider (D-10), state Sen. Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) and Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal—are expected to attend.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m.
“Plan on looking them in the eye and telling them that you object to being punished for the misdeeds of criminals,” ISRA officials added in the bulletin.
