Community High School District 117 issued the following announcement on April 17.
On Tuesday, Lakes sophomores went on field trips to one of five local universities, Carroll University, North Central, Elmhurst, Northern Illinois University, and University of Illinois Chicago.
It was a great opportunity to explore some local options and, for some, see a college campus for the first time. Among other things, students attended informational sessions, toured the campus, visited residence halls, and ate lunch at the dining halls.
Kudos to the student services department for organizing the trip as well as the English department for chaperoning on trip as well.
