Community High School District 117 issued the following announcement on April 30.
Just like the fight song says, “Fight each day to beat the rest”, the Wind Ensemble recently earned an award to recognize this work ethic.
On April 13, our Wind Ensemble participated in IHSA Organizational Contest at Harvard High School. The group earned a Division I rating from all three judges that listened to them that day; two of which, granted the group perfect scores.
The IHSA also asks the judges to identify “The Best of the Day” as a recognition for just that designation.
This year, our Wind Ensemble has earned that award! See the attached certificate.
I share this with you because we all have a piece in this success and thus should all feel the pride!
