Oak Grove School District 68 issued the following announcement on June 4.
A big change will be happening starting with the 2019-20 school year!
The District will be consolidating the two offices. There will no longer be separate elementary and junior high offices. Instead, there will be one "district office." The administrative assistants will all be located in the current elementary office location. Additionally, both school nurses will be located in the current elementary office area. The Superintendent and the Business Office personnel will be located in the current junior high office space. Mr. Fenton, Dr. Cacciatore, Ms. Waehner, and Mrs. Melamed will all be located in the elementary office wing. The reading specialists will be relocating to the current Central Office area.
Morning and afternoon bus and car procedures for dropping off, and picking up will remain the same as they are this year. Buses will drop off and pick up students in the elementary parking lot. Student drop off before 8:20 a.m. will be in the upper parking lot and afternoon pick up will also be in the upper parking lot.
We continue to see increased enrollment. This has created a space crunch in the building, so these consolidations will help us as we try to make our building more efficient. We will be making the transitions this summer. Thank you.
