The data shows that four men were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for property crimes, one is a veteran, and the median age is 45. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced in 2018.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was James K. Daniels. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013 when he was 49 years old. He is now 54.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
