Also Present: Highway Commissioner Amy Sarver, Business Services Diane Sarver, Nick Kron, Accounting Manager and Charlie Mullin, Assessor. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Supervisor Simpson.
Pledge of Allegiance. Supervisor Simpson led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call.
Present: Suzanne Simpson, Supervisor, Bill Gill, Trustee, Mike Semmerling, Trustee, Donna Radke, Trustee; and Ken Echtenacher, Trustee.
Hearing Regarding the Warren Township and Warren Township Road District Budget and Appropriation Ordinances.
a. Supervisor Simpson moderated a discussion on Township Funds. She then motioned with a second from Trustee Gill the discussion be terminated. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
b. Supervisor Simpson next moderated a discussion concerning Road District funds. Finishing, she then motioned with a second from Trustee Echtenacher the discussion be terminated. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
Motion to Approve the Agenda. Trustee Radke motioned, seconded by Trustee Gill approve the agenda. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
Board Minutes of May 13, 2019. Trustee Semmerling motioned, seconded by Trustee Echtenacher to approve the Board minutes of May 13, 2019. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
Public Comment. None
Supervisor's Report: Supervisor Simpson advised we were going to examine costs of shelter and room rentals. She recommended these rental fees be increased. Specific increase will be forthcoming since they have not changed in 20 years. She also informed the Board that Senior Program Coordinator Jean Smuda was instrumental in causing Illinois to refine Adult Protective Services Act. Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Adult Protective Services Act. In a provision concerning face-to-face assessments conducted by a provider agency designated to receive reports of alleged or suspected abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or self-neglect under the Act, provides that the assessments shall (rather than may include interviews or consultations regarding the allegations with service agencies, immediate family members, and individuals (rather than with service agencies or individuals) who may have knowledge of the eligible adult's circumstances based on the consent of the eligible adult in all instances, except where the provider agency is acting in the best of an eligible adult who is unable to seek assistance for himself or herself and where there are allegations against a caregiver who has assumed responsibilities in exchange for compensation. Supervisor Simpson also stated we are planning to move in to the new building on July 4th. Additionally, Assessor Charlie Mullin will conduct a tax seminar on the 18th of July.
Treasurer's Report. The Treasurers Report was presented. Trustee Radke motioned, seconded by Trustee Semmerling to accept as presented. The motion was approved by unanimous roll call vote.
New Business:
A. Pay the Bills. Trustee Echtenacher motioned, seconded by Trustee Gill to pay the bills as presented including 2 additional (Bill Kitchevsky - $1099.73 and The Battery Guy- $1300.00). The motion was approved by unanimous roll call vote.
B. Resolution: 2019-R-15 Intent to Sell Real Estate, Supervisor Simpson presented the Exclusive Marketing Agreement with Baird & Warner Real Estate for the Delaney Road property. Approval was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
C. Ordinance: Adopt Township Budget 2019-0-2. Trustee Gill motioned, seconded by Trustee Echtenacher to approve the ordinance as presented. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
D. Ordinance: Adopt Road District Budget 2019-0-01. Supervisor Simpson motioned, seconded by Trustee Gill to approve the ordinance as presented. The motion was approved unanimously by a voice vote.
There being no further business, Trustee Gill motioned, seconded by Radke to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 p.m. The motion was approved unanimously by voice vote. The next scheduled meeting is Monday, June 10, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
