Illinois State House District 58 issued the following announcement on Aug. 4
Illinois - Now is the time to act on common sense gun safety laws.
The Illinois legislature will be returning to the Capitol for a fall session in October. We must hold votes on:
1) Banning assault weapons;
2) Improving our firearm owners identification system and closing loopholes; and
3) Other measures that protect our communities from domestic terrorism, that address mental health funding, that ensures guns are kept out of the hands of those wishing to harm others.
