The public is invited to take a self-guided tour through our renovated schools on September 23rd from 5 pm - 8 pm. District 34 accomplished the following because of the vote of confidence from the taxpayers in April of 2017.

- New Gymnasium at W.C. Petty Elementary and Oakland Elementary
- Dedicated classrooms for Fine Arts & Project Lead the Way
- New Classrooms at W.C. Petty Elementary and Oakland Elementary
- Outdoor Learning Center at W.C. Petty Elementary
- Courtyard & Outdoor Learning Center at Oakland Elementary
- 21st Century Collaborative Learning Spaces at Hillcrest Elementary, W.C. Petty Elementary, and Oakland Elementary
- Remodeled Cafeteria at Oakland Elementary
- New Conference Rooms at W.C. Petty Elementary and Oakland Elementary
- Activity Entrance at W.C. Petty Elementary and Oakland Elementary
- Music and Strings/Band Rooms at W.C. Petty Elementary and Oakland Elementary
- Removal of Portables District-wide
- Air conditioned classrooms at the Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center and Oakland Elementary
- ADA accessible ramp at the rear entrance at the Mary Kay MCNeill Early Learning Center
- Play area dedicated to our youngest learners in the Library Media Center at the Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center
- Dedicated Sensory rooms at the Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center, Hillcrest Elementary, Oakland Elementary, and W.C. Petty Elementary
