Illinois State House District 57 issued the following announcement on Feb. 13
To help older adults make informed decisions and protect their financial well-being, state Rep. Jonathan Carroll, D-Northbrook, and state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, are hosting a Medicaid Planning Seminar from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the Frisbie Senior Center, located at 52 E. Northwest Hwy. in Des Plaines.
“Medicaid planning can be a difficult and confusing process, especially when it comes to spend down rules and which assets are exempt,” said Carroll. “Our presenter will cover the basic eligibility requirements for Medicaid coverage, as well as provide tips to help seniors and their families make decisions about long-term care.”
Reps. Carroll and Moylan will welcome elder law attorney Matt Margolis to share information and answer questions about asset protection, Medicaid benefits and senior issues. This event is free and open to the public.
