CITY OF WAUKEGAN: City Hall Closing

City of Waukegan issued the following announcement on March 19.

In an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Waukegan City Hall will be closed to the public indefinitely starting at 5pm on Thursday, March 19th. Residents and visitors are directed to the City Website and 847-599-2500 to transact business. Staff will operate on an established rotation schedule and telephone messages will be picked up regularly.

Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our residents, visitors and staff is the City’s top priority. Mayor Cunningham urges residents to stay home as social distancing is the paramount strategy for minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Governor JB Pritzker’s office launch a website where all latest Illinois-related coronavirus (COVID-19) information is available. The website includes news, prevention, resources, preparation, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and information about the virus itself.
