As restaurants and bars have been forced to conduct business without benefit of an opening dining room, state Rep. Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) has gone to social media to lend District 64 businesses a helping hand.
Weber has released a list of restaurants and bars that are offering carryout or curbside services or provide delivery. Weber began compiling the list after Gov. J.B. Pritzker began planning to temporarily suspend dine-in service in the state of Illinois. The decision comes as a result to stem the COVID-19 pandemic.
Listed on his Facebook page are businesses in District 64. Since releasing the list, Weber has made additions as more have called in. The focus is on small businesses in the community looking to survive a turbulent period.
Weber said on his site the businesses are not only attempting to provide for the communities but also keep their doors open and staff employed.
