Community High School District 117 issued the following announcement on May 6.
Governor Pritzker announced on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 that a 5 phase reopening plan will be a reality for all of Illinois. Click here to read the full details of the reopening.
There are 5 phases of this plan. We are currently in Phase 2, Flattening. Phase 3 begins on May 29th when many businesses hopefully get back to a close-to-normal state. Phase 3 does limit group gatherings to 10 or fewer people.
Phase 4 does include school openings, but it is not clear as to when we will be in Phase 4 because of some key factors related to the number of new cases of COVID-19.
As we get later into May, we hope to have more news about schools from Governor Pritzker’s office and the State Board of Education. Stay safe everyone!
