Analysis: Lake Zurich pays $2.95 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hawthorn Woods Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.4 percent of the $456,666 the Hawthorn Woods Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.95 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Zurich contributed $339,582 to the fund, which saw a $33,791 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $115,071, or 25.2 percent, in 2018. Another $2,013 came from other unspecified sources.
