Analysis: Grayslake pays $2.70 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Grayslake Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73 percent of the $1,111,564 the Grayslake Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.70 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Grayslake contributed $811,181 to the fund, which saw a $225,875 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $300,383, or 27 percent, in 2018.
