Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 Board of Education met Aug. 3.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
President Frost called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. On roll call, Mr. Frost, Mr. Weisberg, Mr. Gorson, Mrs. Neault and Mrs. Moons (via teleconference) answered. Also, in attendance were Superintendent Twadell, Recording Secretary Adamczyk and 17 guests.
Brian Smart commented on Equity, Access and Inclusivity.
Mr. Weisberg moved, seconded by Mr. Gorson that the Board of Education appoint Dr. LeViis Haney as the Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, effective August 17th, at a salary to be determined as part of the 2020/2021 administrative salary pool. On roll call, Mr. Weisberg, Mr. Gorson, Mrs. Neault, Mrs. Moons and Mr. Frost voted aye. The motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Weisberg moved, seconded by Mrs. Neault that the meeting be adjourned. By voice vote, the motion carried unanimously. (7:11 p.m.)
