Illinois State Senate District 32 issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
The Illinois Secretary of State’s (SOS) Mobile license facility is coming to Johnsburg Wednesday, October 14.
“You can obtain license plate stickers, driver’s license renewals and state ID cards, but not have to worry about making the trip to Woodstock, the nearest SOS permanent facility,” said Sen. Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry). “Precautions will be in place to help you stay safe.”
The SOS Mobile Driver’s License Unit will be at the McHenry Moose Lodge #691 at 3535 N. Richmond Road in Johnsburg, from 10am to 2pm.
The mobile unit cannot issue REAL ID cards. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Only checks or credit cards are acceptable.
