Republican Jim Walsh has conceded to incumbent Democrat Sam Yingling in House District 62.
“Thank you everyone for your support,” Walsh said in a facebook post. “Unfortunately, we weren't able to get over the hump. I do truly think that we need to root out corruption and give the people more say in our own lives. Please don't give up on IL. Go to Board meetings at all levels and consistently write your representatives. Do this both collectively and individually.”
Walsh congratulated Yingling.
“Sam, congratulations on winning another term. I hope that you can help schools to both improve and lower property taxes,” he said.
